Hello friends, welcome, welcome.
My name is Abby Mo and I am a 23-year-old Peace Corps Volunteer serving as a Secondary Education English teacher in East Java, Indonesia 2016-2018. I teach at a Madrasah, an Islamic religious based High school, where I will remain for the entirety of my two year service.
Now, if you just happened to stumble upon my blog accidentally during one of your internet trolling sessions and have never met me, have no idea who I am, have no idea what the Peace Corps even is, or have absolutely zero interest in ever joining the Peace Corps – I urge you to keep reading regardless because honestly, none of those things matter.
When I first started my service I knew that I wanted to create a place where I could put my thoughts down on paper, so to speak. A place where I could share my experiences with the world, or really with anyone that was willing to take the time to read my pieces. Not because I want or need the world to know my name or even about me personally but because I feel like it is important for every human being to know that other worlds exist beyond the ones they were raised in. I want people to know that it is possible for them to live within those worlds and within those cultures that differ from their own and create a life for themselves, while also helping others in the process.
I urge you all to know and believe that anything is possible. Through the struggles, the smiles, the successes and the failures -The only limits that will ever exist are the ones we set for ourselves.
So if the only thing you ever learn about me personally while reading my posts is that my name is Abby- well then, that is more than enough.
